A Joyful Summer at Lifeways

By Miss Suraiya

As Miss Indigo and I think back on this summer at Lifeways, we wanted to take a moment to thank you all for sharing your amazing children with us and to reflect on the fun and growth we experienced together during the six weeks of the Lifeways Summer Program! Building on everything we learned from last year, I felt we were able to bring even more energy, creativity, and intention to this summer. Through creating a new circle time to share every day, and planning out the stories and crafts that we thought would best capture their interest, we were able to bring a fun new rhythm to the children’s mornings and allow them the space to explore and try new things.

From climbing trees in the front yard and exploring the woods to playing games like Duck Duck Goose and Simon Says in the park, your children embraced every moment with curiosity, confidence, and joy. Whether they were discovering new paths through the trees, or simply enjoying time in nature with friends, it was a joy to witness their enthusiasm and growth each day. It’s always amazing to watch them conquer obstacles, whether it’s climbing to the next highest branch, engaging in play with someone new, or mastering the art of walking safely down Humboldt. It was a pleasure learning and blossoming with the children this summer and I look forward to continuing this program in the future!
